Dendrites are thin, branching crystals that grew over a surface in a rock or mineral.
How can you tell this is not a fossil plant?
For one, the branches are too perfect: none overlap or are folded over or broken as you would expect in a buried three-dimensional plant.
Next you’ll notice that all the branches extend from a line at the bottom of the image rather than from a single branching point.Finally, there is no distinction between branch, stem or leaf; instead it is a fractal-like distribution of tiny sharp-edged crystals.

We collect old Navaho turquoise designs. This Navaho cuff dates back decades. A solid, high quality cuff with three marks, an etched "9", the name "S Tolith" and a stamp of "Sterling." The silver work is very good including the hand stamping and the silversmith made a good choice in the selection of a turquoise stone as well. This bracelet has excellent weight-for-size at 40.2 grams. This piece is solid, there's no bending or "sizing". The stone itself measures about 1/2 by 15/16 of an inch. This is a great example of a classic Navajo bracelet design that started when the Navajos first started making jewelry after learning from Pueblo Indian peoples and Mexicans who in turn learned from the Spaniards. The piece is quite solid, weighing in at a good 42.9 grams. The choice of turquoise stones is first rate. This piece is unmarked. Gorgeous Ammolite bezel set pendant in solid sterling silver and surrounded with pave set white topaz. Photo has no filters, or enhancements, actual photo. Ammolite is an opal-like organic gemstone found primarily along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is made of the fossilized shells of ammonites, which in turn are composed primarily of aragonite, the same mineral contained in nacre, with a microstructure inherited from the shell.
